Prints, Pride and the New African Wardrobe

Bold prints are no longer a costume for special occasions. They are a language, and we are fluent.

There was a time when African prints were saved for weddings and owambe. Today they show up in boardrooms, on red carpets and on international runways.

What changed is confidence. A new generation of designers is mixing heritage with modern cuts, and a new generation of wearers is wearing them as everyday self-expression.

Our prints were never just pattern. They were always information.

I love that shift, and I want to keep celebrating the people making it happen.
